De lo que muchos consideran el triángulo sajón del Krautrock (Rock alemán): Can, Guru Guru y Faust, este último podría definirse como la banda de estilo sin estilo.

¿Suena a contradicción? No necesariamente, su estilo se caracteriza por el sacrificio de la repetición de un sonido, técnica o instrumento individual. Nadie sabe lo que viene después de un corte . Cada álbum es una idea sin secuencia o conexión.

Los instrumentos usados rompen con una tradición inglesa (bajo, batería, guitarra y teclados) impuesta por muchos años. En Faust hay una verdadera búsqueda evidente de nuevas formas de expresar el Krautrock. Si lo que uno busca en ellos es música lineal llena de melodías simples, olvídense. Faust es como leer una novela de J. Goystisolo o escuchar una obra de K. Penderecky.

Una buena iniciación a este universo son las grabaciones “So Far” y “Faust IV”.

Formed in the mid-nineties, Colour Haze is one of the oldest German stoner outfits, and have since then become one of the flagships of the German stoner rock scene. Tours of the band have included headline spots at smaller national and international rock festivals, such as the U.S. festival Emissions from the Monolith in 2006 alongside Orange Goblin and Boris.^[1] Local media coverage have included a broadcast of a concert on national television, when Colour Haze appeared at Rockpalast in 2007.^[2]

Emerging from a sound heavily influenced by Black Sabbath on their first records, they moved away from a heavy to a more melodic sound, e.g. on their latest release All (2008), as remarked by Denmark’s LowCut webzine.
